Utah Jazz has defeated a gallant Sydney Kings 108-83 in the first of three historic games between NBL and NBA teams.
 
After a slow start, the Kings fought back to win the second quarter 31-23 to trail by just 11 points at half time.
 
But the Jazz, led by Australians Joe Ingles and Dante Exum, showed their class in the second half to run out comfortable winners.
 
However the Kings never gave up at any stage, with Perry Ellis (14 points) and Kevin Lisch among the best for the visitors.

Melbourne United will play Oklahoma City Thunder on next Monday, October 9, with the Brisbane Bullets to play Phoenix Suns on October 14. Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN and NBA League Pass.
 
The 2017-18 NBL Season will open this Thursday when the Adelaide 36ers play Melbourne United at Titanium Security Arena.
