Bad weather sinks Nyora’s Sunday season send-off.

The season ending Southern 2000 Super Star Sedan show-down scheduled for tomorrow Sunday 29^th June has been cancelled due to constant rain and predictions of more on race day.

 

“We were really looking forward to a big season finale, and despite the ordinary weather we were still going to give it a big crack if the rain eased,” stated race director Dave Rowlands. Unfortunately by early evening Rowlands was forced to concede that the event just wouldn’t happen. “The call has just come in from the track that it has continued raining for the past couple of hours and there is more on the way so we have reluctantly had to call the meeting off.

 

While there will be no more racing at the venue this season there is still one event on the schedule that will occur regardless of the weather and that of course is the annual presentation dinner.

 

The gala event is slated for Saturday night 9^th August at the Tooradin Sports Club, in Tooradin from 7:00pm. Adult tickets are $45 per head and can be obtained from Debbie Hickson on 0429 847 888.
