THE AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX IN NUMBERS

4 – The number of race wins Triple Eight has claimed at Albert Park. Two in 2009 with Craig Lowndes and two in 2011 with Jamie Whincup. We are yet to win in the COTF era of V8 Supercars.

10 – SVG has qualified inside the top 10 at Albert Park every time he’s raced there except his debut in 2008.

10 – Whincup has qualified in the top 10 at Albert Park for the last six years straight.

20 – This year is the 20th time that V8 Supercars have supported the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park. They have appeared at the event every year since the first in 1996 bar one – 2007. This year is the 21st AGP at Albert Park.

2012 – The Year the team set records. Jamie Whincup set the qualifying and race lap record for V8 Supercars at Albert Park of 1:55.0805 in 2012, while Craig Lowndes set the race record of 1:55.9682.

All autograph sessions at the Red Bull Racing Australia merchandise store require a signing card, which can be picked up from the on-track store on the day of the session for a gold coin donation. All proceeds go to Wings For Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation. 

Driver Appearances – please note that as the AGP is not a V8 Supercars event, there will be no posters available at the track, including at any autograph sessions, so don’t forget to bring some shiny new 2016 kit with you to be signed. Sorry, folks!

SVG - “I am lucky enough to have driven on a couple of the current F1 circuits. Of the ones I have driven Spa Francorchamps is definitely number one! The one that I would love to drive though would be Monaco. It looks like it would be an awesome street track! Maybe one day…”
