For Chelsea, it will be a white hot summer on the transfer front and there will certainly be many new players that Enzo Maresca will have at his disposal within a revolutionised squad.

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen remains the main objective up front, but according to CaughtOffside sources with knowledge of the Blues transfer plans, the club will also continue to look for a new winger.

Athletic Club’s Nico Williams has always on their list and is a preferred target, whilst the hunt to replace Thiago Silva at centre-back is a hot potato topic at Stamford Bridge.

All change at Chelsea this summer

The Blues are starting to make concrete moves now, and have made an official offer to free agent, Tosin Adarabioyo.

At the moment discussions with the English player are progressing well and are at a good level, and Chelsea feel that they are in a good position compared to their rivals.

In recent days, Adarabioyo has also been approached by Newcastle, who retain a strong interest in him and won’t give up, and by Manchester United.

Nevertheless, the Blues are convinced that they can finalise the deal, and the player’s decision is expected very shortly.

In the meantime, Fulham, who will say goodbye to Adarabioyo in the next few days, have once again reopened contact with Trevoh Chalobah’s representatives.

The Chelsea defender, whose contract expires in 2028, wants to play regularly and now considers Fulham a useful destination for this purpose.

A new goalkeeper is also on the shopping list at Stamford Bridge, and one of the favoured profiles is that of Porto’s Diogo Costa.

The Portuguese giants are willing to listen to offers for him in the summer and, in case of suitable proposals, will be open to his farewell.

Competition is fierce for the custodian with Manchester City considering him one of the main options to replace Ederson should he leave for Saudi Arabia.

Villarreal’s Filip Jorgensen also remains a goalkeeper of interest, so everything remains open in that position for the time being.

Arsenal keeping an eye on PL midfielder as they look set to move on from another transfer target

Arsenal keeping an eye on PL midfielder as they look set to move on from another transfer target

30/05/2024, England, Multi Sports, English Sports Publications, Article # 31790204

Arsenal are reportedly one of the clubs eyeing up Everton midfielder Amadou Onana as a potential transfer target this summer.

That’s according to a report from HITC, and it comes amid another claim from HITC that the Gunners are set to move on from their interest in Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.

Although the report claims Arsenal had been keen on Zubimendi, it seems the Spaniard is not that sold on a possible move to England, so it could be that someone like Onana could now be an alternative.

The talented young Belgian has shone during his time at Goodison Park and looks like someone who could easily make the step up to playing for a bigger club like Arsenal.

Onana transfer: Will Arsenal win the race for the Everton midfielder?

Amadou Onana to Arsenal?

Onana is also on the radar of the likes of Manchester United, Newcastle and Barcelona, according to HITC, so it might not be straightforward for Arsenal to win the race for his signature.

Still, the Emirates Stadium is arguably the place to be at the moment, with Mikel Arteta’s side looking very much like a team on the up after only narrowly missing out on the Premier League title in the season just gone.

A signing like Onana to replace the ageing and injury-prone Thomas Partey could be crucial for Arsenal to make up that small gap next season, but HITC also suggest that other midfielders like Bruno Guimaraes and Douglas Luiz are also still on their list.

Everton have supposedly not received any approaches for Onana yet, but HITC add that he could move for a fee of around £50million this summer, with the Toffees experiencing some financial difficulties in recent times and falling foul of Financial Fair Play regulations, which saw them docked points in the 2023/24 campaign.

Lionel Messi’s goal against Mexico at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is arguably the most important in his entire career and the Inter Miami star has reproduced it in his latest match.

Miami and Messi were in action on Wednesday night against Atlanta United, succumbing to a 3-1 defeat at Chase Stadium.

However, the highlight of the night was another spectacular goal from the Argentina star, which pulled a goal back to make it 2-1. The strike from outside of the box was very similar to Messi’s goal against Mexico at the 2022 World Cup in Argentina’s second game of the group phase.

The South American nation needed to win the clash to keep their dreams alive in Qatar and their captain struck low and hard from outside of the box, which he replicated on Wednesday night.

Dayot Upamecano has not had the best time at Bayern Munich since joining the German giants in 2021 and this summer could see the French star leave the Allianz Arena.

The centre-back showed a lot of potential at RB Leipzig and that prompted Bayern to make a move, but ever since completing the €42.5million transfer, the defender has been very error-prone and has made huge mistakes in some high-profile games.

This has made coaches lose faith in Upamecano and Bayern have brought in several defenders since to try and fix their issues.

According to L’Équipe, the France international could leave the Bavarian club this summer, but it depends on whether Matthijs De Ligt or Kim Min-Jae are sold. The German giants do not want to sell Upamecano as they still have faith in the player and would prefer to part ways with another one of their centre-backs.

With a contract expiring in 2026, the 25-year-old may seek a new challenge himself and is believed to be open to a move to the Premier League. L’Équipe states that several English clubs are interested in the Bayern star but it remains to be seen if they make an official move over the summer months.

Dayot Upamecano is a target for Man United

Man United are one Premier League club in the market for a centre-back this summer and according to reports, Upamencano is on the Red Devils’ list.

This would be a risky signing for a club that cannot afford any mistakes, but it is believed that Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite is their number one target, reports Sky Sports.

It remains to be seen if any other Premier League clubs get linked to the Bayern Munich star over the coming weeks as there is a player inside Upamecano, but it may take a top coach to get it out of him consistently.

Chelsea really keen on transfer deal for 24-year-old Brazilian star

Chelsea really keen on transfer deal for 24-year-old Brazilian star

30/05/2024, England, Multi Sports, English Sports Publications, Article # 31790207

Chelsea are reportedly really keen on a potential transfer move for Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento this summer as they look likely to replace Robert Sanchez, according to Simon Phillips via Substack.

The 24-year-old Brazilian shot-stopper looks likely to make a big move this summer, according to Phillips, and it seems Chelsea rate the player really highly as they make a new signing in goal one of their priorities.

Sanchez only joined Chelsea from Brighton last year, but he’s not really had the desired impact in his first season at Stamford Bridge, so it perhaps makes sense that the club are now chasing an upgrade.

Bento clearly looks like a player with a big future in the game, so it could be a good move for Chelsea to sign him before other clubs perhaps enter the race for his signature.

Bento to Chelsea?

Bento transfer: Is the Brazilian goalkeeper what Chelsea need?

Aaron Ramsdale has also been linked with Chelsea, but it seems their recruitment team is not as united on that as some of the other ‘keepers being considered.

The report also mentions Chelsea’s interest in Filip Jorgensen, and it may be that going for someone more proven in Europe would be a safer bet than a player arriving from the Brazilian league, even if he looks like he has the potential to make it at the very highest level.

Chelsea have gambled on a lot of top young players and it’s yet to bring results, so one or two more experienced figures in the squad might help the west London giants find more consistency and a higher finish in the Premier League next season.

Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is another name mentioned, but some fans might also question if it’s a bit soon to be giving up on Sanchez, with more stability arguably needed after so many signings and manager changes in the last couple of years.

Man United ready to sign £60-70m-rated priority target on Man City & Tottenham radar

Man United ready to sign £60-70m-rated priority target on Man City & Tottenham radar

30/05/2024, England, Multi Sports, English Sports Publications, Article # 31790208

Manchester United are keen on signing the Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite at the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the best young defenders in the Premier League and it is no surprise that the top clubs are keen on him.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United are admirers of the defender and they have identified him as a priority target. Even though their managerial situation has not been resolved, they are ready to move for the talented young central defender.

The defender is valued at around £60-70 million, and it remains to be seen whether his suitors are willing to pay up. He could end up justifying the investment in the long term.

Erik ten Hag faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford and he could be shown the door this summer. Regardless of the of who the new manager will be, Manchester United plan to sign Everton defender. However, they will face competition from Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. Both clubs are tracking the 21-year-old defender and it remains to be seen where he ends up.

Branthwaite has proven himself in the Premier League with Everton, and he should prove to be a quality acquisition for all three clubs.

Jarrad Branthwaite would be a future investment

Manchester United need to replace Raphael Varane this summer and defender seems like the ideal acquisition. He is already operating at a high-level and he could fill the void left by the French international in the long term as well. He is only going to get better with coaching and experience.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have looked vulnerable defensively and they need another central defender to complete the defensive unit. Branthwaite would be a long-term acquisition for them and it remains to be seen whether they can beat the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City in the race to sign him.

The Premier League champions will look to keep improving their squad and compete for major trophies in the coming seasons. They have the financial resources to get the deal done as well.

Chelsea transfer chiefs split over potential move for Arsenal star

Chelsea transfer chiefs split over potential move for Arsenal star

30/05/2024, England, Multi Sports, English Sports Publications, Article # 31790209

Chelsea reportedly have an interest in Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale but there’s some split in opinion on him among the decision-makers at Stamford Bridge, according to Simon Phillips.

Ramsdale looked a strong performer while he was first choice for the Gunners, but he somewhat surprisingly lost his place to David Raya in the season just gone, meaning his future now surely lies elsewhere.

The England international will surely want to get back to starting games regularly in order to ensure he stays in Gareth Southgate’s plans, and it could be that he’d have better luck with a move to Chelsea.

Phillips reports that the Blues are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, and Ramsdale is one of a number of names who could be worth watching in the weeks and months ahead.

However, given that perhaps not everyone at CFC is that sold on the 26-year-old, perhaps it’s not a particularly realistic prospect, so it will be interesting to see if any other clubs get involved in the race for his signature.

Ramsdale transfer: What has Fabrizio Romano said about the Arsenal goalkeeper’s future?

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has been linked with Chelsea

Discussing Ramsdale in his Daily Briefing column earlier this week, Fabrizio Romano had this to say: “There are also some player exits to clarify at Arsenal this summer, with the goalkeeper situation one to watch as they want to find a solution for Aaron Ramsdale.

“Although there have been replacements like Justin Bijlow linked with the Gunners by some sources, my understanding is that no decision has been made on this yet.

“Ramsdale is expected to leave for sure, but there’s nothing advanced with any club yet, so it’s not clear yet how much Arsenal will get for him. Before having a replacement lined up to serve as the backup to David Raya, they want to make sure that they find the best solution possible for Ramsdale.”

Manchester United directors are making Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite a priority transfer target this summer and the club are weighing up an opening offer in the region of €55-60million.

Buy Last Minute Tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final!

Sources with a close understanding of Man Utd’s plans have informed CaughtOffside that the Red Devils are waiting to clarify Erik ten Hag’s future as manager first, but that the 21-year-old defender is firmly on their radar, while other top clubs in England and Europe are also monitoring his situation.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also admirers of Branthwaite, CaughtOffside understands, and Everton are ready to sell the England Under-21 international to help them with their financial problems.

However, Everton’s current estimation of Branthwaite is understood to be in the region of £80million, which clubs are not willing to pay.

Branthwaite transfer: Could he be worth the money for Man United?

Jarrad Branthwaite to Manchester United, Arsenal or Chelsea?

Branthwaite could be just what United in defence this summer, with Raphael Varane leaving the club and with others like Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof not looking particularly convincing in recent times.

It seems a deal is there to be done, but it won’t come cheap, so it remains to be seen if MUFC will continue to pursue this, or perhaps end up exploring other options.

Everton may have to be a bit more realistic with their demands, as Branthwaite is probably not an £80m player yet, even if he does look like a top prospect for the future.

Arsenal already have William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes as two world class options at the back, so it’s hard to see them splashing too much cash on someone like Branthwaite, while the player himself would probably do well to consider other destinations where he’d have a better chance of playing more regularly.

Chelsea, meanwhile, could also do with a top young defender like Branthwaite, and might be seen as a slightly more appealing destination than United right now as their new project seems a little more settled and clearly defined.
