Liverpool-FC-v-FC-Basel-1893-UEFA-Champions-League

With defender Joel Matip out for the season due to injury, Dejan Lovren has cemented his spot in the Liverpool starting XI; playing exceptionally well for the past month. With Liverpool currently third in the Premier League with only three matches remaining in the season, next season’s Champions League berth is all but certain.

But first, they will take on Roma, who shocked Barcelona in the quarterfinals, Tuesday night at Anfield in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal showdown. Liverpool should be small favorites to progress and take on the winner of the Real Madrid/Bayern Munich showdown in the title game.

If you’re Croatian and don’t have club bias, you are rooting for a Liverpool v Real Madrid Final where Modrić would go toe-to-toe with Lovren and his defense.

The match Tuesday night kicks off at 2:45PM (ET).

“I could see Zlatan and Kovac getting into a fight and it ending up in the same result, lol.”

Can you name any of the players that got into a fight with Kovac at the 2014 World Cup?

He never snubbed Croatia, nor did Croatia ever snub him. Those were all just unfounded rumors.

But to answer your question, yes, we would have been champs at Euro2008. We probably would have won that tournament had Eduardo not had his ankle broken also.

We would probably qualify for 2010 and maybe done better at WC2014, however, I could see Zlatan and Kovac getting into a fight and it ending up in the same result, lol.

Mandzukic’s days of being the first choice for our National Team are over. With that said, I think he’s second choice, as long as he gets service into the box, otherwise I really don’t think we have another plan “B”! Mandzo is definitely not a winger on our team, we have far better options than him and I think our coach would be a fool to insist he is a winger.

We are thin with our strikers/forwards and we need to see goals from other players…ie…Perisic, Rakitic, Rebic, maybe even Modric and our first option for a true goal scorer is Kramaric.

Kalinic and Cop give me heartburn and I pray Krama heats up!

Modric mentions Zlatan’s snub of Croatia for Sweden, and I can’t help but wonder:

If Zlatan played for the repka, does Croatia have a European Cup or World Cup trophy right now?

Turkey-v-Croatia

In a recent ESPN article, Croatia captain and Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modrić stated that he has followed Zlatan’s move to the MLS and has said that he could see himself playing in the American league when his Real Madrid days are over.

Does that mean he would follow Zlatan to the LA Galaxy?

Or would any MLS club do?
