TASMANIA SUPERSPRINT IN NUMBERS

6 – Triple Eight has won the last six Symmons Plains races in a row, three in 2014 and three in 2015.

11 – The record of most race wins in championship history at Symmons Plains is 11 held by Jamie Whincup.

12 – Shane Van Gisbergen has had 12 Top 10 finishes at Symmons Plains.

15 – Triple Eight has now won 15 Symmons Plains races to become the most winning team in Championship history at the venue. Those 15 wins have come from the last 22 races on the Apple Isle!

500 – Holden could become the first manufacturer to win 500 races in the history of the ATCC/V8SC. It sits on 499 after a clean-sweep of the three races at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.

SVG - “It’s a great little track. Although it looks small and basic on paper there is a lot to it. The ‘rollercoaster’ section at turn one, two and three is very cool. The cars get light over the crest before hooking left over the bumps through turn two. Then you have to try to accelerate up the hill!”
