JAMIE'S TOP THREE SYDNEY 500 MEMORIES

He’s lifted the championship trophy there four times and is just days away from take five, but what are JDub’s top three most memorable Homebush moments?

Oh, and for anyone wondering, his 2008 trophy was won and presented at Oran Park.

  1. The top one would be Saturday’s race last year when it was do or die for the championship and we put in one of our best performances for my first Sydney 500 race win.
  2. Second was when I was into the X Factor one year and whoever the winner was performed at the front of the grid, which I got to see. That was pretty cool.
  3. Number three was “he’s in the fence. They’re both in the fence. THEY’RE ALL IN THE FENCE!”. That obviously wasn’t a good moment, but one of the biggest memories for me of Homebush.

All autograph sessions at the Red Bull Racing Australia merchandise shop require a signing card, which can be picked up from the on-track store on the day of the session for a gold coin donation. All proceeds go to Wings For Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation.

PREVIEW: SYDNEY 500

Lowndesy: “It’s a typical street circuit with lots of kerbs, undulations and surface changes so it’s a real battle to get the car to work 100 per cent around there and of course the weather will play a major part, as it always does. I think there’s no doubt that I enjoy the track and I have some great memories there, so hopefully that’s going to work well for me this weekend.”
