Tottenham lost ground in the race for Champions League qualification after losing the north London derby to Arsenal.
Spurs endured a disastrous first half and found themselves 3-0 down at the break thanks to goals from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz and an own goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Postecoglou’s men showed more fight and resilience in the second half and pulled a goal back through Cristian Romero, who capitalised on a mistake from David Raya in the Arsenal goal.
Heung-Min Son pulled another back from the penalty spot in the 87th minute, but Spurs couldn’t pull off a famous comeback.
Postecoglou admitted after the game it wasn’t “acceptable at this level” to allow Arsenal to score such easy goals.
The defeat leaves Spurs seven points behind Aston Villa in fourth, having played two games less than their rivals for a top four finish.

Manchester United have been dealt an injury blow to Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay after he was forced off on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to relegation-battling Burnley on Saturday afternoon in a performance which unfortunately sums up their season so far.
The Clarets looked like the better team in the first half and if not for some great saves from goalkeeper Andre Onana, they could’ve gone into the break at least one goal up.
But Manchester United held firm and got their reward when Antony grabbed his first goal of the season after making an incisive run in behind Burnley’s defence.
However, Onana turned from hero to villain when he conceded a penalty shortly after allowing the visitors to get back level after dispatching from the spot.

There is even more bad news for United, unfortunately, as McTominay picked up a knock in injury time and was forced off after only being substituted on in the 65th minute.
Speaking after the game, Erik ten Hag revealed that he is a doubt to feature in their next league clash against Crystal Palace.
“We have to assess this, to set the diagnosis.” He told the Manchester United Official Website.
“I don’t know in this moment to return [against Crystal Palace next month], I think it’s a little bit too quick turnaround.”

Arsenal were 3-2 winners over Tottenham in the North London derby to keep their Premier League title challenge alive and Ben White played an unusual role in the Gunners’ first goal.
Spurs have struggled from set-pieces all season, while Mikel Arteta’s men have been the total opposite.
Therefore, it was fitting that the first goal of the match came from a corner as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg headed the ball into his own net from a Bukayo Saka cross.
Before the ball was sent in Arsenal fans will love what Ben White was doing to distract Guglielmo Vicario in the Spurs goal. The Gunners defender was trying to loosen the Italian’s gloves and it was clear that the 27-year-old did not like it.

Arsenal survived a late Tottenham comeback to move four points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
It looked like it was going to be an easy afternoon for the Gunners, who raced into a 3-0 first half half lead, thanks to an own goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Saka and a Kai Havertz header.
Cristian Romero pulled one back for Spurs following a howler from David Raya in the Arsenal goal, before Heung-Min Son scored a penalty in the 87th minute to set up a nervy finish.
Mikel Arteta’s men managed to hold on for a vital win as they fight to win a first league title in 20 years.
Saka, who scored his 15th Premier League goal of the season revealed after the game the victory meant everything, and he was proud of his team-mates, who will give everything in the final three games of the season.

Tottenham captain Son Heung-min has scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-2 in the North London derby to spark nerves in the Arsenal squad.
The Gunners stormed into a 3-0 lead in the first half and have tried to manage the game throughout the second.
However, David Raya would hand the hosts a lifeline when he kicked the ball to Cristian Romero to pull one back for Spurs.
Tottenham have now grabbed a second from the penalty spot as Declan Rice fouled Ben Davies in the box. Son stepped up and smashed the ball to Raya’s right, setting up a nervy end to the match for Arsenal.

Alan Shearer has defended Mohamed Salah after his heated argument with Jurgen Klopp on the sideline.
It looks like Liverpool’s title run is all but over after their 2-2 draw with West Ham on Saturday capped off a painful past two weeks for the Reds.
With only a handful of games left to play and the high level of football on display from their title rivals, one win in their last five Premier League games is not good enough at this point of the season.
Although the Hammers have had their fair share of poor performances this season, travelling to the London Stadium is no small task, especially with the likes of Jarrod Bowen in red-hot form.
The English attacker grabbed a goal and an assist as the Liverpool defence struggled to contain his penetrating runs.
Liverpool were without their talisman, Salah, with the Egyptian being left on the bench from the start.
Klopp decided to bring him in the second half but not before the two had a fiery argument on the touchline.
Speaking on BBC’s Match of the Day, Shearer sympathised with Salah for being left out of the starting line-up.
‘He’s obviously got the right hump with being left out and probably rightly so, even though hasn’t hit the heights that Mo Salah has done over the years. He’s been an unbelievable player,’ he said via the Daily Mail.

Tottenham met with the agent of Shakhtar Donetsk star Giorgi Sudakov in midweek to discuss a potential summer move.
The 21-year-old recently signed a contract extension which reportedly contains a release clause worth £127.7m
The midfielder, who is represented by Ukrainian agency ProStar has been pitched to a number of Europe’s top clubs, with Spurs believed to be amongst the admirers.
Sudakov to join Spurs this summer?
The Ukraine international’s agent was actually in north London on Wednesday, and had a photo taken pitch side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as he beings to ramp up discussions ahead of the transfer window.
Whilst Spurs are thought to be keen on the player they aren’t the only club interested, with Italian giants Juventus admirers, whilst Napoli saw a £34m offer for Sudakov rejected in January.
If Ange Postecoglou’s side were to press ahead with a move they could encounter problems with Shakhtar, given the fallout from Spurs signing Manor Solomon last summer.
Spurs were threatened with legal action after Daniel Levy took advantage of a FIFA ruling that enabled foreign players in Russia and Ukraine to suspend their contracts due to the war beginning.
Solomon was able to join the north London club on a free transfer, meaning the Ukrainians didn’t get a penny for a player they reportedly valued at around £20m.
It’s believed Shakhtar will want a club record fee to sell Sudakov this summer, eclipsing the €100m total package they received from Chelsea for Mykhailo Mudryk.
Arsenal are also reported to have tracked Sudakov, who will be a player to watch at this summer’s Euros.
To add further fuel to the fire Shakhtar CEO Serhiy Palkin was at Stamford Bridge for Chelsea’s 6-0 win against Everton, and revealed he had received lots of questions about the talented midfielder.
The Ukraine international has made 31 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring eight goals.

Thiago Siva may have played his last game for Chelsea after Mauricio Pochettino confirmed the defender was forced off with a groin issue during the draw with Aston Villa.
The 39-year-old’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of the season and it’s been widely reported he will leave the club, although there’s been no official confirmation from Silva or the club yet.
The Brazilian went down holding his groin and had to come off just before the 90th minute of the Blue’s chaotic clash with Villa.
Silva could have played his last game for Chelsea
Silva suffered a similar injury against Crystal Palace earlier in the campaign which ruled him out for three matches, including the Carabao Cup final.
After the game Pochettino revealed the former Paris Saint Germain man felt pain in his groin.
“We need to assess him after tomorrow. It is a pain in his groin, which was similar to [Crystal] Palace”, the Argentine told reporters.
It raises the question with just five games left this season, could the veteran defender have played his last game for the club.
Silva joined Chelsea on a free transfer from French giants PSG in 2020 and has gone on to make 151 appearances, scoring nine times for the west London club.
He was an a key part of the squad which won the club’s second Champions League under Thomas Tuchel in 2021, beating Manchester City 1-0 in Porto.
The Blues have already started their search for a replacement, and have reportedly enquired about a move for RB Leipzig’s Castello Lukeba.
Lukeba isn’t the only name Pochettino’s side have been linked with, with the club believed to be admirers of Sporting Lisbon’s Ousmane Diomande.
Silva may not be the only centre back leaving Stamford Bridge this summer with Trevoh Chalobah also expected to be sold.

After Liverpool’s poor run of form, winning one of their last five league games, it looks like it is now between Manchester City and Arsenal as we approach the end of the campaign.
The Gunners sent a clear message to the treble winners during the week, beating Chelsea 5-0 and leaping back to the top of the table.
But that will mean nothing if they can’t get a win against their bitter rivals with only a win good enough to keep them in the race.
Mikel Arteta has named an unchanged side from the one that demolished Spurs but fans may be disappointed to see one name missing from the squad, Timber.
The Spanish manager hinted at a potential return during the week but instead, the defender has travelled with the under-21s to get some valuable minutes under his belt.
