Firstly, the club would like to send out a huge thank you to everyone for their support last season.  We are very fortunate to have such great, Members, Racers and Volunteers, we could not do this without all of you.

It’s only around 4 weeks until the start of our 2017/2018 season. We thought we better give everyone an update on what’s been happening around the track.

The first meeting has been moved out to the Friday 10th and Saturday 11th of November.  The Saturday will be a test n tune for the day, so there will be plenty of time for runs and to get the setup right for the season.

On Thursday the 16th we will be holding our leg of the Street Machine Drag challenge.  If anyone is available on Thursday to give us a hand to run the day that would be great.  Things will be a little tight with track staff because it is being run on a weekday.

Around the track, we have been making great progress with many updates.  We should have the new staging lanes sealed and ready to go for the 10th and 11th of November. New concrete walls have been poured ready to install.  A bigger, safer tyre barrier will be setup and the end of the track behind the catch net.  New software updated have been purchased for the timing system, this will allow us to trial AutoStart, and has cool new stuff like real-red start, which allows both cars leaving the start line to individually red light and passes the win to the car with the smallest red light, not the first. 

We have also purchased a new weather station snap module. This will print out weather information on the time slips including temp, baro reading, wind speed and direction.  Just waiting on Geoff Crisp to send us the software required to run it.

Club memberships are currently due. To celebrate reaching our 10 years of racing we have dropped the prices for our Single and Family Membership for this season. I have attached a membership application form to this email.
