Olympic Madison a giant step forward for Women's Cycling

It was recently announced that the Women's Madison will debut as an Olympic event at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

The elevated Olympic status of the women's madison has certainly had a flow-on effect to the field for the Australian Madison Championships at Hisense Arena on December 16. All of Australia's top track endurance women are set to take part and press their claims for Olympic selection - including Annette Edmondson, Amy Cure, Georgia Baker, Ashlee Ankudinoff, Alex Manly, Rebecca Wiasak, Danielle McKinnirey and Chloe Moran.

It's a race not to be missed - and complements a huge program of events that also includes the 120th Austral Wheelrace Finals, the Men's Australian Madison Championship and UCI Category 1 Sprints and Keirins.

Tickets are now on sale via Ticketek.

TAC to support the VRS and VJRS in 2018

The Transport Accident Commission and Cycling Victoria will be pedalling the road safety message together in the 2018 'Towards Zero' Victorian Road Series (VRS) and the 'Towards Zero' Victorian Junior Road Series (VJRS).

In 2017 the TAC stepped up as the VRS naming rights partner to further highlight Victoria’s Towards Zero plan to ensure no one is seriously injured or killed on our roads. And we are delighted to confirm that their support will also extend to the VJRS in 2018.
