In 2015, Melbourne Rising are taking Rugby to the community. With the support of local and state governments, a key pillar for the 2015 Melbourne Rising program is to showcase elite Rugby content in key regional areas as well as giving members of the community an opportunity to engage with Rugby as a whole.

Further information regarding the Melbourne Rising's campaign in 2015, including training squads, allocated Melbourne Rebels and Qantas Wallabies players, Melbourne Rising staff, ticketing information and merchandise information will be released over the coming two months.

In 2014, the Australian Rugby Union introduced a host of new law variations and innovations to encourage attacking, free-flowing Rugby. By the end of the inaugural season, there were 358 tries in 39 matches, an average of 9.2 a game.

FOX SPORTS will again broadcast one match a week LIVE on Thursday night throughout the season.

Now in its second season, the Buildcorp NRC is a domestic Rugby competition which runs for 11 weeks from 20 August to 1 November.

The 2015 NRC teams are: Brisbane City, Queensland Country, Macquarie University North Harbour Rays, Sydney Stars, Greater Sydney Rams, NSW Country Eagles, University of Canberra Vikings, Melbourne Rising and Perth Spirit.

The NRC presents a great opportunity to grow the game in Australia and is designed to give players, coaches and match officials another link in their development pathway.

For Rugby fans, it will showcase some of the best emerging talent in Australian Rugby and will provide an opportunity to engage with an elite Rugby competition.
