REFS and REFEREEING

Congratulations to Chris Pollock who will referee his 200th first class match at the Hurricanes v Blues derby in Wellington.  He will become just the fifth New Zealander to reach the milestone, and he joins the likes of Bryce Lawrence (201) Steve Walsh (210), Paul Honiss (220) and Paddy O'Brien (221).  Pollock's career includes 22 international Test matches, including two Rugby World Cup tournaments.  Pollock, who announced late last year he'd be retiring from international refereeing, has returned to teaching in his home town province, the Hawke's Bay.

Check out the Refereeing Priorities for 2016 and the Round 15 Match Official Appointments.
